The Beth Brown Memorial foundation is a non-profit tax exempt 501 (C) 3 corporation established in 1964 under the laws of the State of Ohio and the Federal Internal Revenue Code to receive and distribute funds in memory of the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence J. Brown, Jr. Beth lost her three year battle with leukemia on March 25, 1964, at the age of seven.
The Foundation started with funds which had been set aside originally for Beth's education by the Brown family, has been supplemented by memorial gifts to her and other victims of leukemia and other causes to be awarded by the Trustees annually from the investment income of the Corpus of the Foundation funds to assist persons of good character, demonstrated excellence in their education, study or research and established interest in medicine and other allied arts and sciences.
Scholarships are given each year on the basis of the recipients' academic standing in their class, need, motivation, extracurricular and career oriented activities.
We have updated the web site to include applications for past recipients currently enrolled in a college program.
